Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arrangement.
It’s been practiced for hundreds of years and continues to be by many who appreciate the
elegance of its style. But there’s not just one style of Ikebana, which has developed
many schools of floral design over the centuries.
One of the more modern schools, with a keen following in Australia, is Sogetsu,
which broke away from the more classical styles of Ikebana.
It’s been practiced here for 50 years this year.
